About PIZZATA PIZZERIA & BIRRERIA

Neighborhood pizzeria and bar featuring antipasti, pasta, entrees,, salads, sandwiches and naturally leavened New York–style (NY) pizzas.

In Philadelphia, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across Pennsylvania on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 4–10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Pizzata Pizzeria & Birreria is easily one of my new favorite spots in Philly. The second you walk in, the place just feels rightβ€”lively, welcoming, and super family-friendly without feeling chaotic. On top of that, the owners are amazingly kind and genuine, and the staff treats you like you've been coming in for years. The food is on another level, starting with the bruschetta. It’s so fresh and simple, served on bread toasted to absolute perfection. Then came the gnocchi, which were basically tiny melt-in-your-mouth clouds in the best homemade sauce. But the real star of the night was the Cacio e Pepe cheesesteak special. It sounds like a bold mashup, but it completely worksβ€”rich, peppery, insanely savory, and hands down one of the creative spins on a Philly staple I've ever had. We ended the night with the tiramisu, which was super light, delicious, and not overly sweet. I even packed up some extra food to go so my husband could try it at home. It reheated surprisingly wellβ€”pretty close to as good as it was fresh, though nothing can quite match getting it straight from the kitchen. Between the food, the vibe, and the people running the place, Pizzata is an absolute gem. I’m alrea

Pizzata was always good and improved once they took over the location. But the recent-ish upgrades to their pizza oven and the new menu items had made it incredible. The Salsiccia pizza is a favorite.

Came here on a whim on a weekday with two friends. It was a cool Spring night and we were excited to to eat some fresh, hot pizza! The pear and gruyere pizza was incredible - salty, sweet, fresh and slightly spicy from the hot honey - I’m still thinking about it (bc honestly I was skeptical haha). We also ordered the broccoli rabe and sausage stromboli with smoked mozzarella - so damn good! I have not had a half way decent stromboli in forever and this was perfect in every way! We also got the pasta special which was paccheri amatriciana - it was perfect, the pasta tasted freshly made (like not some box pasta). Not pictured - the Caesar salad which was fluffy and light and coated in parmesan! Shout out to our server Lizzie who was so kind!

A friend recommended this place at my first thought was not pizza. It is a pizza place but much more! I truly enjoyed my braised short rib! And my husband enjoyed his seafood Diavalo. But the pizza is great also! Had to taste the award winning pie! Rustic decor, fun vibe, excellent staff including Doria and the manager (name similar to Chico) who worked his magic for our seating. The recommendations on the menu that he and Doria made were spot on. If you want to go somewhere where the kids can relax and enjoy. But you also have a great meal this place is at. The downstairs has a bar area which is great for mixing and mingling. Upstairs you could probably have a larger party quieter with proper reservations.

Love the sourdough pizza crust, baked nicely by wood fire. The flavors are nicely done with their own profiles, harmonic but distinct taste of different ingredients. We try both white and red sauce pizzas, personally I can’t choose which one I prefer. The two reds looked somewhat similar but they’re completely different. Not over compensated with excessive amount of cheese. Definitely one of the better pizzas in my humble list.
